Cross Platform Web Developer


Visual Net Design is searching for a cross platform web developer.

Preferred Skills

  • 3 years minimum experience with HTML/XHTML, CSS and XML
  • 4 years minimum web programming experience in PHP, ASP(Classic and .NET) and JavaScript. Other languages are not required but would prefer some exposure to: Flash Action Script 2.0 and 3.0 as well as Coldfusion
  • 4 year minimum experience working with relational database systems (MySQL and MSSQL Server preferred). Applicant must have a good working knowledge of SQL as well as be familiar with stored procedures, triggers, using query analyzer and knowledge of performance tuning of database systems.
  • Development experience using Dreamweaver. Other environments we prefer exposure to but not necessarily require include Xcode, Flash CS5, VB6, Visual Studio 2005-2008, Adobe Flex
  • Technologies and platforms: web services, Jquery, Authorize.net CIM, Paypal Pro, phpMyAdmin, SQLYog, Magento, Wordpress, Drupal and Joomla
  • Server technologies: Windows 2003-2008 server, Cpanel, CENTOS 5, IIS 6.0-7.0 (light management), Apache, Flash Media Server (not required), Coldfusion (not required)
  • Self-starter with strong self-management skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • BS in computer science is a plus but not required. Significant equivalent experience will be considered.

Knowledge

  • Programming, some graphic design and database administration are all elements of this position.

Web Development Sales Representative

Job Responsibilities

  • Works with the sales manager and other sales agents on personalized business plan to establish upcoming monthly sales quotas.
  • Sells web-based and technology business solutions and related services to potential clients in order to generate revenue for the company.
  • Assesses the needs of potential clients and provide them with the solution that best fits their business needs.
  • Responsible for closing the sale and delivering all paperwork to the appropriate person.
  • Follows up on new leads and referrals using the VND Report System.
  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, meetings held, closed sales, and follow-up activities using the VND Report System.
  • Prepares presentations and cost proposals/quotes to prospective clients.
  • Participates in marketing activities such as seminars, trade shows, chamber/industries events when necessary.
  • Fields inbound inquiries.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

 Knowledge

  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Suite and Outlook.

Computer Technician

Major responsibilities:

  • Responds to inquiries and requests for support with the client's computer systems or PC's.
  • Identifies problems, troubleshoots and provides advice to support clients. Coordinates with other IS areas to resolve problems if necessary.
  • Monitors reliability of network infrastructure and operating systems on multiple platforms. Diagnoses and repairs problems.
  • Installs PC's and related hardware and software. Investigates hardware and software problems. Performs system hardware and software communication connection repairs. Performs diagnostic testing.
  • Analyzes, plans, designs, and installs new computer systems and reviews, monitors and upgrades existing computer systems. Determines user specifications for hardware and software.
  • Analyzes business needs and new technology and makes recommendations.
  • Maintains hosting requirements.

Admin Assistant / Billing Helper


If you are the person that fixes something right away or cleans a counter without being asked then you have the attitude VND is looking for.

It is very critical that you are EXTREMELY reliable, proactive, have a smart phone or ability to respond to emails within 24 hours and have a positive no-excuse attitude.

To start this will be part time but can easily grow to a full time position (min 30 hrs)

Jobs you will do:

  • Data entry (Bonus if you are "tech savvy")
  • Answer phones
  • Contact customers with overdue invoices
  • Looking up invoices for clients and helping answer questions/concerns (billing knowledge is a plus)
  • Making jokes
  • Read and follow directions (very important)
  • Taking stuff to the post office or other deliveries (must have reliable transportation)
